Executive Team

John Chesser
President & Principal Consultant

John Chesser is the President of Monarch Business Resiliency (MBR), an independent consulting company based in Kennesaw, GA. MBR provides business continuity, IT disaster recovery and business resiliency services for the Fortune 1000 and government sectors.

John has eighteen years of experience in a variety of fields related to IT and business continuity, having held progressive positions in both. His focus since 2000 has been on disaster recovery and business continuity planning, where he consults in industries such as financial services, electronics manufacturing, news media, healthcare, petrochemicals, manufacturing and banking. He has managed a number of large projects for Fortune 100 companies where he has managed disaster recovery and continuity projects, developed and implemented enterprise infrastructure, designed and built data centers, and implemented data replication failover solutions.

John is active with the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP) serving as the Membership Director, the Boy Scouts of America, serving as the Membership Chair for the Cherokee Pickens District, Atlanta Area Council. He is also involved with the Cherokee County, GA, Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), the Southeastern Continuity Planners Association (SCPA) and National Eagle Scout Association (NESA). He holds numerous certifications in Information Technology, a degree in emergency management and is certified in business continuity. John also has been a speaker at several trade shows and conferences such as DRJ and CPM.

John Grochowalski
Vice-President

John W. Grochowalski, MBR's Vice President of Sales and co-owner of the company, has more than twenty-four years experience providing Business Continuity Services for various market segments and organizations from financial institutions, manufacturing companies and hospitals to government and non-profit agencies, retail concerns, and high tech organizations in the US, Canada, and other countries around the world. Before joining MBR, he held key management roles at Paradigm Solutions, Nexl Network Systems/MTM Technologies, and SunGard. He specializes in helping companies maximize their resources to withstand and recover from unplanned events by recommending the technologies and methodologies appropriate for their particular business.

He has been a featured speaker at several trade shows and conferences such as DRJ, NEDRIX and CPM. He is a member of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP), the Massachusetts Financial Society (MFS), and had spent eight years playing professional basketball in Italy before entering the Contingency Planning field.
